Underwater Flashlights: Dive and Explore a Whole New World
Fascination and awe is what I feel whenever I find myself in front of a beautiful landscape. I don’t know whether it’s because I was born and raised in an urban place or simply because it’s in the very nature of every human being to yearn for the unknown, but I’ve realized that sooner or later, I always end up spending all of my savings on long-distance trips and adventures in the raw and wild parts of Mother Earth. Luckily for me, my girlfriend and a couple of our closest friends have this strong inner urge as well, so exploring this wondrous home of ours doesn’t have to be a lonely experience for neither of us.
We have been asked to share our favourite adventure story on many occasions, as we have been doing this for quite some time now. It’s funny how all of us always pick the same journey to talk about, even though everyone has a slightly different take on it. Well, my dear readers, if you are curious to know – our visit to the Amazon Rainforest is the highlight of our sweet venturesome life. Although I enjoyed every second of it, diving deep into the murky waters of the Amazon River and encountering its unique wildlife (yes, I saw at least three Amazon river dolphins) is the part that felt like an unforgettable dream of an alien world, the part that touched me most.
As one can imagine, none of this would have happen if we weren’t well-equipped. Believe it or not, our diving tanks and our underwater flashlights were the two essentials that enabled our underwater exploration sessions most of the days. We have been doing this long enough to remember how useful reliable underwater flashlights can be, especially when we can’t resist the delights of night diving.
If my experience means anything to you, feel free to follow my simple pieces of advice (or at least have them in mind) when buying a dive torch for you. First of all, you need to make sure that the one you choose is rechargeable and able to burn for at least two or three hours. Trust me, a rechargeable dive light can save you a significant amount of money, although you may not realize this right away.
If you are passionate about taking underwater photos, then you should definitely consider purchasing Klarus SD80 Diving and Photography Light. Producing up to 5000 lumens and coming with two HPE red LEDs for sophisticated colour distinction while in the water, it is a flashlight worth every dollar. Please, feel free to google it.
Oh, let’s not forget to mention the beam distance of an underwater flashlight. A dive torch that is able to throw its beam over 100 meters is an acceptable one. However, if you usually dive quite deep into the water, then I believe that you need one with a beam distance of at least 300 meters. It’s both for your safety and pleasure.
