-
All of the major airlines require carry-on bags with a standard size
Wrong! Besides the fact that airlines in general have become more strict in enforcing carry-on rules, almost every airline allows you to take a carry-on bag that measures around 60 – 40 – 10 cm. Your bag needs to have the size required by the airline company that you are travelling with so that it perfectly fits the space reserved for these bags and causes no unwanted problems. Therefore, make sure you follow the rules.
-
The flight attendant should take care of your carry-on luggage
Well, definitely no. They may help you safely store your luggage or help you if you have any problems with it, but they are definitely not obligated to take care of each passenger’s bag. Their job is to welcome you, to provide you with the necessary information for the flight, to serve you food and drinks and similar.
-
You cannot have anything stolen from your carry-on bag
Stealing while on a flight is definitely not a good idea. However, that does not necessarily mean that it does not happen. For that purpose, make sure you keep your valuables safe and buy a ladies travel bag that has a safety lock.

Laws have been changed regarding to which carry-on bag items are allowed.
When travelling abroad, it is of utmost importance to be familiar which items you are not allowed to carry on and which you are. Carrying guns and firearms with you on a plane is a big No. Also, any iron or metal made items, like pocket knives, scissors, nail clippers, black and smokeless powders, compressed gas cylinders for medical use or as part of a self-inflating life jacket are also some of the things prohibited to transport.
-
Airlines do not charge for carry-on bags
Another myth of course. Actually, it all depends on the class ticket you have. More or less, you have to get out your wallet and pay the fee for every checked bag. Some airports may charge fee if your carry-on bag is overweight or too big to fit the cabinet.
